Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: STEREO A
Event Time: 2024-07-02T16:30Z ( STEREO A: IMPACT )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: IMPACT
Activity ID: 2024-07-02T16:30:00-IPS-001 (version 1)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: Characterized by steady increase in B-total from 4nT at 2024-07-02T13:00Z to 9nT at 2024-07-02T16:30Z. Corresponding sudden rotation in the B-field components is observed starting at 2024-07-02T16:30Z. This arrival is currently suspected to be the arrival of CME:2024-06-29T04:00Z. Analysis is ongoing. This signature shows similarities to the suspected glancing blow arrival of CME:2024-06-29T04:00Z arrival at L1, namely in the gradual rise in B-total over the course of several hours.
